Seeing India as a lucrative cradle for application of technology,developed countries are leaving no stone unturned to invest in here for their own profit.The recent visit of France’s President Sarkozy served as a blow to many citizens of India.
The reason : installation of 2 nuclear reactors in Jaitapur,Maharashtra amidst great uproar by the public and media alike.the goal of France eventually is to establish a whole lot of 6 nuclear reactors.
India,is allegedly to fulfill its 50% of power needs via nuclear energy by 2050.How I wish the world would come to an end in 2012...
The background of this deal goes a long way back,when France was the first supporter of India’s not signing of the non –proliferation treaty.That support was envisaged by France quite correctly.India offers wide opportunities to western powers to expand their businesses in the garb of improvement of the‘developing states’.be it America ,or France.same difference.

the question is why did India agree to all this??
INDIA The CHAMPION OF The OPPRESSED IGNORED THE PEOPLE’S PROTESTS AND CONTINUED TO APPEASE FRANCE.WHY?
the possible answer to this question is that France has immensely advocated support for india’s inclusion in the security council of the UN.this really does put the honesty and credibility of our two honorable ministers in bad light.
we as responsible citizens can only keep track of the developments in the country,and make sure she is put to no harm. but when politics mixes with anything as holy as the nature it’s bound to corrupt it as well.
